Amarula Cream Liqueur - Perfect Celebration Drink!

Image
I had the wonderful opportunity to try the Amarula Cream Liqueur and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you. One thing I learned from drinking this liqueur is that Amarula is made from a fruit called "marula" found in Africa. Found in South Africa (as well as Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia, and Zimbabwe) marula trees grown in abundance. They are beautiful trees and drought-resistant. The fruit from the tree (the marula fruit) is a sweet, tropical fruit. It has a citrus tang and a creamy taste. Actually it makes for a perfect liqueur in my opinion. Amarula isn't just for their incredible liqueur. They also do amazing things for the region. From the women's job creation project in Western Cape communities, Amarula Elephant Research program, and so much more, there is an even bigger reason to purchase this Amarula liqueur than just it's amazing taste. Find out more about each of their programs by clicking here . Now, to the most important part

Canyon Bakehouse Gluten Free Bread Review [And Giveaway] [Ends 12/21]

Image
It's really hard for me to find gluten free bread that tastes good. A lot of the bread out there these days just doesn't work as toast or has an awful texture. That's why I was so excited to try the Canyon Gluten Free bread! I have to say this is by far the best I've tasted so far. In fact, I've even ordered from them on my own off their website (yup, it's that good). What I love about Canyon Gluten Free is that it is owned by people who know what it's like to have to deal with being gluten-free! Christi Skow, the co-owner , was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2007 and she appreciates gluten free foods that "are delicious and healthy." I had a few of their products sent to me - 7 Grain Bread Cinnamon Raisin Mountain White Rosemary & Thyme Focaccia Personally, of the four products, I loved LOVED LOVED their focaccia bread. I had this with scrambled eggs in the morning and dipped the bread in olive oil and it was A-MAZ

Old Factory Candle Gift Set - Best Smelling Candles. Ever. [Giveaway Ends 12/12]

Image
My mom and I absolutely LOVE candles. I love the ambiance they put across. I love how they smell. It just sends off a serene relaxing vibe that I really enjoy. There are only a few candles out there that we have bought though that I've ever had the opportunity to compliment the smell. I mean candles smell good and all but I've never thought...WOW. Until now. I received three an Old Factory Candle Gift Set to try and ladies and gentleman these were AMAZING. These smelled like - WOW. I tried the holiday scents (I almost wanted to say FLAVORS because they smell so good I fought the urge to lick the candle). The Winter Wonderland gift set included the scents Hot Cocoa, Roasted Chestnut, and First Snow. The Hot Cocoa actually made the apartment smell like chocolate cake. I kid you not. The Roasted Chestnut had a sweet, spicy vibe to it as well. The First Snow smelled clean and very nice. Also, the best thing of all is that these burn for quite some time. My bigg

Mrs. Cavanaugh's Chocolates - Review - Buy One Get One Free Deal Inside!

Image
A couple of weeks ago, I introduced you to Mrs. Cavanaugh's Chocolates, a chocolate company started 1972 by Mrs. Cavanaugh herself.  I love the history by how this company started. Make sure you visit their website and read more about their history . I tried these chocolates over the Thanksgiving break. It was the perfect chocolates to share with my family and serve as a evening treat following all the goodies we already enjoyed that day. We sampled the four different chocolate bars and the box of chocolates that I received. Let me say...Oh. My. Gosh. This was incredible chocolate. Now, I heard some other people who reviewed this chocolate say this was too sweet. For me, I don't think I've ever said anything was too sweet, so take that into consideration. I tried the Caramel Candy Bar, White Chocolate Almond Coconut Candy Bar, Mindy Mint Candy Bar, and the Dark Chocolate Almond Candy Bar . Of the four, I personally enjoyed the Caramel Candy Bar. This had amazing go

Perfect White Elephant Gift - Holiday Tumblers Review and Giveaway

Image
One of the things on my must-have holiday list are holiday tumblers! I LOVE having them on hand and something about being able to take my coffee with me on the go is so appealing (my late night shopping trips TOTALLY got an upgrade). Anyways, I had the chance to try out the Holiday Tumblers made by Reduce Base Brands,  a company started in 2006 that make attractive eco-friendly products designed to help consumers "turn over a green leaf." I don't know about you but one of my main goals this next year is to get much more eco-friendly and this is one step in the right direction. The holiday tumblers come in a variety of colors - perfect for this season! They are 16 ounces, double walled insulation to keep your drink warm, and BPA free inside and out. Also, they fit into most car cup holders and their open close lid limits spills! (It really does, I am well known for sloshing my mug of coffee a lot). I absolutely loved this. The most important thing about tum

This Holiday Season Celebrate with #GivingTuesday

Image
The one main reason you probably wouldn't see me in stores following Thanksgiving is that I find it the most ironic few days to start shopping. When I think of Thanksgiving, I see it as a day to spend time with loved ones and to give thanks to your blessings. I can't imagine running out at midnight - or worse that same day - to purchase a television. I know many people feel differently (obviously, because we wouldn't have Black Friday otherwise!) and I also know many don't have the family to spend the day with and other people like the opportunity to get out of the house and spend time with family in a different way. Also, those deals are pretty amazing that you see out there and some people may be able to buy things they wouldn't any other time of the year. But if you want to start a new tradition, join with me on this coming Tuesday. Let's make Giving Tuesday a new thing. We have Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday. Why not Giving Tuesda

Perfect Sauce for the Holidays - Cucina Antica Pumpkin Sauce [Review And Giveaway]

Image
Recently I had the chance to try Tuscany Pumpkin Pasta Sauce made by Cucina Antica and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you guys. But first a little about the company, Cucina Antica ! They've been in business for over 15 years and their cooking and pasta sauces contain only the freshest ingredients. I love what they believe in too - "Cucina Antica believs that food brings family and friends together, to share good conversation and good times over a delicious meal." I think that's the best type of belief system to have! Chef Neil Fusco, owner of Cucina Antica Foods , grew up helping his mother prepare food using ingredients from the family farm. Born in Italy, he is famous for making "light, fresh, homemade pasta sauces."   Now to the review! I had the chance to try the Tuscany Pumpkin Pasta Sauce , and I was honestly nervous - but nicely surprised - about my experience with the sauce. It is made with a combination of pumpkin as well

Honest Amish Beard Care [Review and Giveaway]

Image
If you've started shopping for the guy in your life, you'll want to add this next item to your list. My older brother had the chance to try out the Honest Amish Beard Care product (and I had tried out their amazing handmade soap!). But first, a little about the company. Honest Amish is located in a small town in Pennsylvania and everything is made by hand and from scratch. Also, they'[re products are 100% natural, organic, and have sustainable ingredients. If you are conscious about the environment, you will want to purchase from these folks because you can just tell they care about what goes into the items they sell. I love that! My brother tried the Honest Amish Classic Beard Oil. The Honest Amish company carefully chose the items for this product and it's designed for beard and skin health and filled with ingredients meant to nourish your beard and relieve irritation of new growth. After trying the beard oil, my brother thought it the product'

Conte's Gluten Free Pasta [Review and Giveaway] [Ends 11/30]

Image
Since going gluten-free a year ago, I've had the irritating journey to figuring out the best tasting gluten-free brands and which ones were just tasteless. I had the chance to try out Conte's Pasta foods and this review will talk all about my experience with them! Conte's Pasta started in the 1970's by Angela Conte who carried her love of Italian food with her to America. 1975, Conte's Pasta started with Angela making pasta for her neighbors. The restaurant three years later. Of course, it was successful right away! Soon customer's wanted to bring the good pasta feeling home and the company was born. Conte's Pasta has never been afraid of change as they bring in more products, such as pasta geared towards children, and soon (best of all for me!) geared towards people with food allergies. I tried a variety of gluten free items made by Conte's Pasta, such as pizza, lasagna, stuffed shells, ravioli, and more! Both my mom and I are gluten-fre

Can YouHandle Bar - Dry Beard Oil Review

Image
Attention to all the fellas (or ladies, pay attention if you are starting to buy for the men in your life this holiday season)! I had the most incredible opportunity to work with CanYouHandleBar.com and review some of their products. But wait? Me? Well, since I'm a lady, I thought it would be unique to bring in my oldest brother and have him give the products a try. I couldn't wait to see what he thought and get his perspective on some of the great products that CanYouHandleBar offers. First, a little bit about their background. Reading over the Can You Handle Bar Manifesto tells you so much about the man behind the mustache. Passionate about not only his facial hair, but what it means to be a man, gives me so much respect for this company. Freely admitting that the mustache doesn't make the man (and neither does this product), he defines a man as "a boy multiplied by life, minus excuses." Powerful stuff! He hopes that these products become mementos

Time was when Marie Cavanaugh spent hours in her South Dakota farmhouse each Christmas season making pecan rolls and homemade chocolates for holiday gifting. "It started when my aunt sent her pecan-rolls recipe," Mrs. Cavanaugh recalled. "I gave the recipe my own touch and started making the yummy specialties. Then I began dipping chocolates. Our friends and neighbors loved these treats, encouraging me to start a candy business. Finally, I decided it might be a good idea.'" Her husband George and children Carla, Lorraine, Calvin, Colene and Genise rallied, helping Mrs. Cavanaugh fill demands for her homemade sweets. ...In 1972, the family moved to Utah, leaving good friends and their beloved cattle ranch.  "It was a difficult decision, especially for George," Mrs. Cavanaugh said. "He was excited about making our new venture, which we chose to call Mrs. Cavanaugh's Candies, a great success. We felt Utah was blessed with good chocolates and t

Olives to Go! - Healthy Snacking That Tastes Good! Review and Giveaway [Ends 11/21]

Image
I try very hard to stay focused on my health and selecting the right foods for my diet (that aren't too expensive!). It can be especially hardest for me around lunch time these days and ESPECIALLY around the afternoon slump (between 2 and 4 pm!). I get a major craving for chips or chocolate or SOMETHING. So I couldn't wait to try out Pearls' Olives to Go! and add that to my snack routine. The Musco Family Olive Company built the name brand we all know as Pearl Olives. It's a privately held family business and is the leading supplier of table olives in America. Isn't that incredible? Started by Nicolo Musco he worked in his family's merchant business to sell olives, cheese and other foods from village to village all from his donkey-driven cart. In 1922, he moved from Italy to New York and started his own Italian food distributorship. He then moved from New York to Northern California and started his dream to create olive oil and olives. In 1960, he passed

Florida Coast Coffee Review and Giveaway [Ends 11/15]

Image
I can't wait to share this coffee blend with you! I had the chance to try coffee made by Florida Coast Coffee and I was so impressed by how tasty it was! But first, to share a little bit about the background of Florida Coast Coffee ! Florida Coast Coffee was made by best friends who are from the tropical region and wanted to create a coffee that showed off the true flavors of the Florida coast. They created coffee blends with the Florida flair featuring blends such as "Tiki Bar Rum Cake" "Toasty Toasted Coconut" or "Coastline Regular Roast" (and so much more!). Basically they wanted to give coffee drinkers a true taste of sub-tropical climate so you have "paradise in every cup." I had the chance to try Kick Back Key Lime and Coastline Regular! I love how they describe the coffees on their site - here's what they say about Kick Back Key Lime: "Arriving on the beach after a morning of snorkeling in the Keys,
