Purely Elizabeth - Tasty Granola to Start Your Day [And Giveaway]

I am always a huge fan of granola! It goes great with yogurt and a little goes a long way. So I couldn't wait to try out the granola by Purely Elizabeth. It's a company that is obviously striving to do everything they can to do good for the environment. They are part of 1 Percent for the Planet (a new organization I haven't heard of until now!) and Purely Elizabeth donates 1% of their profits to preserve the health of our planet. Plus they strive to make sure that even their packaging has less of an impact on the environment and uses eco-friendly packaging. Also they purchase from organic farmers, and their products are either natural non-GMO or organic. I love supporting companies that try to make our world a better place, so read more about Purely Elizabeth here.

purely elizabeth, granola, gluten-freeI had the chance to try out granola and even something new to me called Apple Currant. Best of all, their products are GLUTEN-FREE! Woo!

I tried a few different kinds of granola, including Original Ancient Grain Granola (2 ounce bag), Blueberry Hemp Ancient Grain Granola (2 ounce bag), and Cranberry Pecan Ancient Grain Granola (12 ounce bag). I also had the chance to try out Apple Currant Ancient Grain Muesli.

Honestly, I loved all three of the granolas I tried! They are great tasting and not too sweet I didn't think. My bag of cranberry  pecan granola was a full sized bag which lasted a good while for me. I usually mix in a little bit of granola into yogurt and so it lasts a lot longer. I found out there was dried fruit mixed in and dried fruit always gets stuck to my teeth. I would probably choose their original kind if I decide to buy this in stores. For me, the two ounce bag lasted a couple of mornings for me and then the 12 ounce bag lasted a week. But then again I don't give myself a TON of granola in the morning, but just enough so I can comfortably mix some into my morning yogurt.

Then I gave the Apple Currant a try! I did mix this into yogurt as well. At first I didn't enjoy it too much, because I just wasn't sure if I was making it right. But finally I found if I mixed a little bit in with vanilla Greek yogurt, and then added a handful sized portion of the muesli on top and then some honey, I really enjoyed it. It's an acquired experience, though, so I would honestly look up some recipes first for this one.

Overall, I love the Purely Elizabeth Granola - it's gluten-free and the ingredients are great!
