Dr. Sharp Oral Care - Flouride Free Toothpaste Review [And Giveaway]

I had the chance to try out some oral care products by Dr. Sharp. I was intrigued by this because they talk about having fluoride free oral care items and I have always heard quite the opposite about having fluoride in toothpaste. But if you check out their site, they say so much about the benefits of fluoride free products that you should take a look. This actually talks about their scientific findings and so I think that is so interesting.

But onto my review!

I had the chance to try out a few items -

Fresh Mint with Green Tea Toothpaste

I enjoyed this toothpaste a lot. I'm not sure it's entirely the best thing to say but I actually liked the taste of it. The green tea provides a sweeter flavor to it than simply having a toothpaste with just mint. What my mom and I both noticed while using this toothpaste was that it didn't burn afterwards. I appreciated that a lot!

One thing is that the price of this toothpaste is a tad more steep than I'd usually pay, but not by much. I pay right now about $5.99 for toothpaste so this isn't a huge jump. I'm only seeing this product online though, so I'm hoping to see it in grocery stores soon!

Berry White Kids Toothpaste

Is it a shame I wanted to try this out for myself? Sure it's kid's toothpaste but you know this tasted AMAZING. I really enjoyed it a lot. The only downside is that it leaves your mouth with kind of a flavored chewing gum type taste to it, which isn't bad necessarily but I tend to avoid flavored lip gloss or toothpaste right before bed, because I feel like it disrupts my sleep. But in the morning? Loving it! Also I noticed I had to use MORE toothpaste for the kid's kind, but I figure that's maybe the thing that happens when a grown up uses a kid's toothpaste. Hehe.

Fresh Mint Mouthwash

I really really liked this mouthwash and I think I liked this product the most. My biggest complaint with mouthwash was that it usually burns my gums and the lining in my mouth. Not the case here! I loved the taste of it and it left my mouth and breath feeling so fresh and clean. Great follow up to brushing my teeth.

Green Tea Mint Dental Tape

I wasn't a HUGE fan of the dental tape, I usually like a stronger mint taste when I'm flossing. It sort of makes the flossing experience nicer. But I like the type of tape that it was - it was a thread feeling, not weirdly stretchy or too thin. The major downside here is that the price is higher than I pay usually for dental tape - it's $5.

Overall I liked these products and I hope to see them in stores soon. I think my only concern is the fluoride free aspect of the oral care products, but I think that's something I'd do my own research on before making a strong stance on it. I'd highly recommend considering these products if you are okay with the price. There is a deal going on with Dr. Sharp that says you can get free shipping for purchasing more than $40 worth of items.

For one lucky reader, they will get the chance to win some Dr. Sharp's oral care products!
