Disney's Beauty and the Beast CD is Here [Enter to win!]

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of the Beauty and the Beast CD! You know that one movie that was recreated by Disney and caused quite a stir? Oh, THAT one. Heh. I couldn't resist taking the opportunity to review the CD because it would give me some insight to what the movie was like!

By the way, the Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack will be on sale for $7.99 starting May 12th through May 18th which you can purchase on iTunes, by the way. Purchase now.

I listened to the CD and I am SUCH a huge fan of the original animated version that I almost couldn't get beyond it to enjoy the CD. However, it did make me curious enough to want to see the movie! Have you seen it? Did you enjoy it as much as the animated version?

I appreciated the remade version of Beauty and the Beast with Ariana Grande and John Legend. Didn't have the same magic as the original but it was a lovely version. But like I said, I'm such a die hard fan of the original so I listened to it with those kind…

What To Do When You Stuck in a Snack Rut [Giveaway Inside!]

Sometimes you can easily get in a rut with food. I know I get that way. The same products are in the store, you have the same lunch ideas, you buy the same snacks, the same everything. I know that it actually can be hard to step outside my comfort zone and try something new.

So that's when subscription boxes can help. It's an excellent way of finding new things to try, getting some extra snacks, and opening up your horizon to new foods. Whether you are celiac or gluten-intolerant or simply eat gluten-free by choice, it's time to broaden those horizons!

I recently had the chance to try out the "American Gluten-Free" food box. Here's the photo of what I received -

5 Recipes Made with Gluten-Free Bagels

When I think of bagels, I don't usually think of things I can make with them outside of my usual go to stuff, like cheese melts, avocado toast and toasted bagel and peanut butter.
But there are some recipes that take bagels to the next level and I came across some created by "The Greater Knead" bagel company and I absolutely had to share these with you. And I had the chance to try out some of their bagels, but more on that later. First, the tasty bagel goodness.
The Bagel Crumble.

To make this, you take their chocolate bagel (oh yes, I said chocolate), a little oil, and cinnamon and some honey. And from there you chop it up and bake it and cover it with tastiness and put it over ice cream. Just check out this recipe and you'll see why you want it.

If there is anyone out there reading this that remembers how yummy french toast was pre-gluten-free days, I think you should check out this …

Ways to Add More Fiber to Your Diet

Fiber fiber fiber! I feel like fiber doesn't get the same kind of attention protein does, but fiber does good things. And I had the chance to review some great fiber products, but more on that later. Well, fiber, keeps you regular (ahem, we all know what I mean) which is wonderful for the health of your bowels. And according to the Mayo Clinic, it can also lower cholesterol, help your blood sugar levels, and helps you maintain a healthy weight (because fiber is so much more filling!) (SOURCE)

Well, how do you GET fiber is the next question?

My first favorite that I tend to have a lot in my diet - BEANS. Beans are filled with fiber and I'm learning you can have all KINDS of beans to get fiber. Lima beans, lentils, black beans, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, and so much more.

Next fruits. Apples, right? That's the first thing that came to mind for me. But you can also get fiber from berries too. And bananas. And prunes.

And don't forget vegetables too. Apparently, accord…

5 Gift Ideas for Mother's Day

Can you believe it's almost May? That means that Mother's Day is just around the corner! So if you are trying to think of some gift ideas, I think you need to consider something a bit out of the box. I've had the chance to try out a couple of Thoughtfully gift boxes and they make for great gifts. It's a bit like combining a physical gift with an experience gift. You don't just open the box and enjoy what you received - you experience it. Plus you can select a gift based on the personality of your mom as well! It's not a one sized fits all company.

1) Mom's Survival Kit

This is an adorable gift, especially for the mom with younger children. It includes a coffee thermos, a babysitter notepad, earbuds, real coffee, and some more goodies! Probably not the most personal gift if you are giving this to your mom but if you have a friend who is a new mom I think this is a great gift to give. Especially if you offer your babysitting services so she can have a night …

Why You Should Buy Organic Coffee [and Giveaway]

I'm always on the organic route when I go into a grocery store, but I have only just recently heard that we really should be drinking organic coffee. I never really thought of this before and didn't realize the importance of choosing organic coffee until now.

One major reasons to drink organic coffee?

You avoid a good majority of the pesticides.

This is the main reason I choose organic produce. Did you know that coffee is known to be one of the most heavily sprayed crops? While many argue the roasting process eliminates the pesticide residue, this still doesn't leave warm feelings in my coffee pot about what the coffee bean could entail. (SOURCE)

It's also environmentally beneficial. Many conventional growers will clear out forests to make room for their crops. This eliminates natural pest killers like birds and other creatures and this leads to more pesticide use. Organic coffee is grown more naturally, maintaining the forest life in the surrounding area. Quick Gluten-Free Breakfast Idea - Flax4Life Muffins [My Review]

Recently, I had the chance to try out some amazing treats by Flax4Life. I am gluten intolerant and I often have a hard time embracing the idea of a quick breakfast. I mean the only one I can usually think of is yogurt, which maybe isn't all that quick if you have to eat on the go. I like the idea of baking something healthy in advance for the week, but realistically I don't often have the energy for that.
I think what makes Flax4Life an excellent morning treat is that it's really filling, tastes good and you won't feel bad afterwards. Flax4Life is a family owned business and they've been in business for over 15 years now. They come from a family of gluten-intolerant as well as many who have Celiac disease - so they've been making gluten-free products for more than a decade now. They make their products in a gluten, nut AND dairy free facility. Check out their about page for more info.
I got the chance to try out some of their muffins and some mini-brownies. F…

The Best Gluten-Free Soup I've Had in a Long Time (And Giveaway]

Since I've been gluten-free it isn't always to figure out easy lunch solutions. I'm not a huge fan of frozen options and I really don't think I've found the perfect, consistently amazing lunch time bread. And soups? Well, I haven't found my favorite soups yet either. Until now.
So I had the chance to try out Blount's Soups! I tried two different kinds -
Tomato Bisque

Broccoli Cheddar

Here's what I thought:
The Good:
Theses soups are non-gmo, organic, and gluten-free. First, the tomato bisque. I found this tasted so good. I like when Tomato Soup is on the creamy side. And this was! I'm never a fan when tomato soup has more of a ketchupy, liquidy tomato flavor. But when it really tastes like a soup? Oh yum!
For the Broccoli Cheddar, it may not have been as thick and creamy and cheesy as I usually love about Broccoli Cheddar, it was still really tasty. I just needed a bit more salt.
The Not so Good
You know, not like I'm trying to avoid a…

Gluten-Free Food Ideas: Santa Cruz Organic Lemon Juice - Review & Giveaway

Welcome to the spring time! Okay we have a bit more time before it's official. And considering the snow storm and rainy weather, it doesn't seem like old man winter wants to loosen his grip. But still that doesn't mean you can't get started on celebrating the upcoming sunshine! Woo!

So recently I got the chance to try out the Santa Cruz Organic Lemon Juice. I like adding lemon juice to a variety of recipes because it adds an extra zing to it. Plus how many of us can't resist an ice cold glass of lemonade. Especially in the warmer weather. And it's coming! I'm sure of it.

What makes Santa Cruz Organic special is that it 100% organic AND it's non-GMO project verified. They are also 100% juices too. It's great ingredients so you don't have to worry!

What can you do with lemon juice? Well let me tell you!

- Add a tablespoon to tuna salad to give it an extra zing!

- Sprinkle some in salad for a low calorie dressing alternative.

- Mix some into your …

3 Reasons You Should Consider Shea Butter

I do enjoy finding natural items that I can use for beauty products. Vaseline and coconut oil really work well for my skin and I tend to avoid using products with hefty ingredients lists. Lately I've started to learn a bit more about shea butter which isn't something I've considered in the past!

1) It's incredibly moisturizing.

It gets into the deep layers of your skin and stops any kind of moisture loss. It's also nicely absorbed too - not greasy like a lot of other skin care products.

2) Anti-inflammatory

Actually there was a study in 2010  by the "Journal of Oleo Science" done recently that says shea butter reduces inflammation! It also has been known to be really healing as well.

3) Anti-aging.

Shea butter has a lot of antioxidants that replenish your skin. These vitamins are what fights the impact of aging on your skin.

4) Bonus reason! You can use it on your hair.

I've heard of using moisturizing products for your hair but recently I learned th…

Divatress - A Fantastic Way to Update Your Look! #Divatress #beauty #ad #spon

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

Recently my mom and I talked about how if we had the extra money, it would be fun to wear wigs. I think wigs are an EXCELLENT way of trying out a new hair color, a new hair style, and just updating your look in general without the commitment, the time, and the money. Personally I'm not really inclined to go to the salon and get dye jobs done and I'm definitely not brave enough for a short cut. But I would LOVE to try these things out with a wig.
So, I recently learned about Divatress. They offer wigs for anyone's budget! PLUS they have so many beautiful styles. They have synthetic wigs, wigs made with human hair, short wigs, and wigs for women of all ages. I was searching through their site and these wigs jumped out at me as being really fun to wear!

If your beauty budget makes you pause about going down the route of wigs, than you will be happy to know that Divatress is very affordable. I'm noticing a lot of their wigs …

Nature's Bakery - A Healthy Treat You Won't Feel Guilty About! [Review + Giveaway]

I'm a sucker for a grab and go treat. Something about the treat in it's quaint wrapper that I can just toss into a lunch bag that is vastly appealing to me. Being that I'm gluten-free, I'm always really cautious of my treat choices too! So, I can't wait to share this amazing treat that Nature's Bakery has to offer.

I had the chance to try out a couple of different treats by them. First, their gluten-free fig bars (and then my brother had the luck to try their brownies (which are NOT gluten-free)). Nature's Bakery started in 2010 by father and son team Dave and Richard Marson. I love their philosophy by the way, "Keep it simple, have fun, and achieve balance in life through nature, activity, nutrition, and community." Read more about how their company started here.

They offer a variety of gluten-free fig bars - fig, raspberry, pomegranate, and blueberry. I personally loved the blueberry, it was a tasty experience and in general, I love the blueber…

Gluten-Free Snack Ideas: Protes Chips: Enjoy Gluten-Free Protein Chips

I'm on a snack fixation lately, can you tell? Well I love having chips to snack on yet I don't like that sneaking sense of guilt by having them though. Reduce that guilt though with these amazing chips I just heard about recently called, "Protes" chips!

It all started when this guy Krik was sick of the only protein snack option being 'protein bars.' Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the concept of "protein snacks"! It started in 2009 as an idea than 2013 Protes became a real thing! Read more about how they came to be over here.

So I had the chance to try out a variety of flavors of Protes chips - Tangy Southern BBQ, Spicy Chili Lime, Zesty Nacho, and Toasted Coconut. Of the flavors I tried, I loved Zesty Nacho the best. One thing that's cool is for a small snack pack, it's only 100 calories!

One major thing I appreciate about these snacks is also they are guten-free! So these are snacks that I can enjoy! PLUS they are non-gmo too, and that&…

Victoria’s Secret model finally ends all pregnancy speculations through an Instagram post of her on a bikini bump snap that captions: 'Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love

Rosie x Photo by @jasonstatham'.

Everyone was quick to send their congratulations and best wishes to the lovely couple. The photo was taken by the 49-year-old actor star showing his fiance, Rosie on bent knees on a beach with her hand holding her back, showing off her growing bump.

It seems that the soon-to-be-married couple couldn’t contain their excitement for the New Year blessing. This duo has been together since 2010, so it sure is the perfect time to get pregnant.

Speculations on Rosie’s pregnancy began spreading when she shared a photo of herself clad in a baggy poncho. Since then, fans were eager to learn the truth. I guess, they can all smile now with the good news of Rosie’s pregnancy.

Pregnancy is so sweet, you can’t help but smile when you learn that one of your fri…

Driftaway Coffee - A Perfect Subscription for Coffee Lovers

While 2017 gets under way, I feel like a new year represents the opportunity to try new things! If you are looking for some new coffee in your life, coffee drinkers pay attention! I had the chance to try some coffee by Driftaway Coffee.
I love a company with a great back story. And this one has a pretty cool starting point! Inspired by Steve Job's commencement speech, owners Anu Menon & Suyog Mody, desired to create something for themselves. And that's when Driftaway Coffee was born as a result of a desire to do work they loved while also including their love of coffee. Read more of their story here.
More than just loving the taste of their coffee, there is a variety of reasons that I think this is a subscription plan you should try. I enjoy the fact that it's customizable and you can select everything from the profile of coffee you want to how much you expect to drink. Even better, the subscription plans are really reasonable. For 32 ounce coffee subscription, it'…

Gluten-Free Snack Ideas: Milton's Gluten-Free Crackers [My Review]

I recently discovered my newest favorite gluten-free cracker. Everyone, that is gluten-free, gather around, you will love it. You know what it is? It's Milton's Gluten-Free Crackers!

One thing that makes Milton's stand out to me, aside from offering some great snacks, is that they also do a LOT of good work for the community. They are actively involved in a variety of causes and organizations. Check out who they support and how they can support one of your causes!

So I had the chance to try out a few different crackers flavors - Crispy Sea Salt, Cheddar Cheese, Everything, and Multi-Grain. My two favorite flavors are the sea salt and the cheddar cheese. One of the great things about these crackers is that they are light, but they don't leave you disappointed. It's still a hearty cracker! The sea salt is my favorite by far, it makes great for dipping into salsas and sauces and it's just so good. A light salty flavor! The cheddar is also really good too - it…

Coffee Suggestion: Kohana Coffee & Cold Brew

Coffee always gives me such good feelings. So I am always eager to try out coffee and find some good ones that I can share with you guys. Well, I couldn't wait to tell you about this amazing coffee blend Kohana Coffee.

This coffee was inspired by a pretty awesome island adventure. Getting caught up in a terrible storm on the island of Oahu, founder Victoria Lynden had to stop to wait out the storm. She was drawn in by the most amazing scent of coffee and of course, followed her nose to find out the aroma. Well, the rest is history and soon she met the roaster of this coffee John and she set out to make coffee in this island style way. Read about this coffee's awesome history over on their webpage.

I had the chance to try out some of this tasty cold brew and their dark roast coffee for myself. In these cold winter days, I love coffee. Well, this coffee immediately reminded me of being on a tropical vacation. It had such a flavorful tropical vibe to it and it almost tasted flav…

How to Save Money on Computer Ink - Printing on a Budget

his post contains an affiliate link and I will receive compensation if you sign up through my link.

One of the main hurdles to me actually using the printer that collects dust in my bedroom is that ink is usually so enormously expensive. I figure, do I really NEED to print that stuff out? So I think, nah and I don't. But I really love having computer ink handy.
So I want to recommend a program to you guys that will most definitely save you money on computer ink. It's the HP Instant Ink program.

First, find out if you have an eligible printer by visiting this link here.

Once you know you have an eligible printer, select the plan you want. First, you can have an occasional plan that lets you print up to 50 pages a month for only $2.99. The plans go all the way up to $9.99 for 300 pages. The amazing thing about this is if you have any left over pages, it rolls over into the next month without a fee.

What is so cool about this is that the printer will talk to HP and let them k…

3 Ways to Save on Spending this Spring

Spring is almost here! Alright, so really it's a few weeks away and a lot of areas are dealing with some cold temperatures still. I can't be the only one thinking and planning for this season already, right?

So if you are on a tight budget, you are probably looking for ways to save without breaking the bank. From fashion to food to entertainment, I wanted to highlight a few spots where you can save money without spending a lot of money!

1) Save on Groceries.

There are a few apps I want to recommend. First, iBotta. Have you heard of this one? Basically you redeem money back after you purchase the item at the store. I've had some occasional success with this and was able to cash out once at $20. A lot of the things I buy aren't really on here too often but it does add up. They offer also generic things like buying a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk will get you some change back.

Also another one to consider is - Checkout51! This is similar to iBotta but I feel like  I l…

Coffee Suggestion: Ethical Bean Coffee - Tasty Coffee, Doing Good for the World [My Review]

I'm such a coffee fanatic and any chance I can find a new coffee company, I'm all over it to try out their coffee! I came across "Ethical Bean Coffee" lately and was so happy to try out some of their dark roast coffee.

One thing that makes Ethical Bean Coffee stand out is that they make their coffee using fairtrade certified organic beans. This means that they are using an alternative system to produce and trade coffee.  And Fair trade regulations ensure that participants are operating in a fair and just manner. Find out more here.

Plus one thing that is extremely cool about Ethical Bean is that you can actually track your coffee's journey from farm to shelf! I think this is so amazing. I love how they are uniquely creating a way for you to connect even more with your coffee. This is the first time I've ever seen anything like this and it makes me want to buy the coffee so I can give it a try!

I had the chance to try out their Superdark French Roast and the…

Gluten Free Treat Ideas: Cocomels - An Amazing Sweet Treat That Is Gluten-Free (or Dairy or Soy Free)

Being gluten intolerant has created some challenges for me. From being cautious with foods I'm selecting to researching the menu of a restaurant I visit to refraining from letting my sweet tooth guide what I eat before I have the chance to inspect ingredient lists. And when I had the chance to try out "Cocomels" I couldn't wait to see what they were like.

Cocomels were started by founder "JJ" who wanted a company that was like Willy Wonka with a twist - candies healthier for our bodies. And then the experimentation began! He tried out different treats and recipes to create this tasty before you treat. Read more about Cocomels beginnings over on their About page.

I received a few different varieties to try! I tried the Espresso, the Sea Salt, the Original and the Vanilla. You know at first I was a little wary, because I thought at first it was hard candy when I took a look at what the Cocomels were like. But they soften as you start to enjoy them and they t…

Gluten-Free Treat Ideas: Eat. Dream. Be. - Healthy Snack Bars [My Review]

It's that time of year where we're all contemplating the holiday treats and sweets we finished off recently and getting ourselves back on track. Well, if you are in need of a treat that will leave you guilt-free, than I have something for you.
It's called, "Eat. Dream. Be." and these bars are healthy, filling, and will likely satisfy that sweet treat you desire. These treats were created by two friends who met and wanted to collaborate further. And Eat. Dream. Be as you can see by their website is far more than just food related amazingness. They offer up music and podcasts too.
The thing that's first great about the dream bar is that it's certified gluten-free and that's something I'm very strict about focusing on because of my intolerance to gluten. They have three different kinds - Banana Lavendar, Apple Chamomile and Tart Cherry Lemon Balm. They don't offer up a sharp sweet flavor and at this point in the year that's a good thing. I …
