Why A Naturepedic Mattress Would Be A Wonderful Birthday Surprise!

I'm joining in the fun to win the chance for a Naturepedic EOS Standard Mattress. Blogger Mommy Greenest has a new book coming out called "The Mommy Greenest Guide to Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond" and best of all this book will be free for all you moms and moms-to-be out there. I think that's pretty amazing. She received help from a few brands to launch the book, such as Acure Organics, Babo Botanicals, Naturepedic, and Weleda.

Actually I'm not so much entering this giveaway for myself,but I'm hoping I can win this new Naturepedic bed for my mom. She's been using the same mattress she's had for more than fifteen years. Things have been financially very hard lately and we just can't afford a new one right now. Every dollar counts and this kind of purchase would be impossible. Amazingly enough this giveaway ends right around her birthday and I would LOVE to surprise her with this. She lost her job in 2013 and this would boost her spirits so much. I try not to go down the road of pulling the bleeding heart card and I don't divulge too much on this blog about my personal life anyways, but something like this is so needed for my family right now. I'm sure I'm not alone, though!

Anyways, on the note of "going green", it seems like these days going green is becoming more important as the impact we have on the environment is getting clearer. Global warming cannot be denied and I'm reminded daily on the news and everywhere on the terrible impact we are having on the planet. Although I don't have kids right now, when I am ready for that stage in my life, I want to be as informed as possible on what I'm bringing into the home. Plus I want to teach them about it too. This is why books like these are super important.

My Review of Nutty Novelties Nut Butters

  Does anyone else love nut butter as much as I do? It's such a healthy protein and great for breakfast or lunch, depending on how you like to enjoy yours.  Recently, I had the chance to try some by a brand called Nutty Novelties. I ended up choosing their simple blends, like Classic Peanut Butter, Pistachio Butter, Almond Butter, and Cashew Butter. I loved each jar and thought it was just simply delicious. However, they offer a ton of unique varieties that you don't want to miss out on. They have Honey Roasted Peanut Butter , Cinnamon Almond Butter , and  Dark Chocolate Almond Butter .
