5 Recipes Made with Gluten-Free Bagels

When I think of bagels, I don't usually think of things I can make with them outside of my usual go to stuff, like cheese melts, avocado toast and toasted bagel and peanut butter.

But there are some recipes that take bagels to the next level and I came across some created by "The Greater Knead" bagel company and I absolutely had to share these with you. And I had the chance to try out some of their bagels, but more on that later. First, the tasty bagel goodness.

The Bagel Crumble.

To make this, you take their chocolate bagel (oh yes, I said chocolate), a little oil, and cinnamon and some honey. And from there you chop it up and bake it and cover it with tastiness and put it over ice cream. Just check out this recipe and you'll see why you want it.

French Toast Bites.

If there is anyone out there reading this that remembers how yummy french toast was pre-gluten-free days, I think you should check out this recipe using two Greater Knead Gluten-Free Cinnamon Raisin Bagels.

The Pizza Bagel.

Pizza Bagels tend to remind me of that one Seinfeld episode where Kramer is making pizza bagels for people to eat while they're on his bus tour. He used cinnamon raisin and pound cake, but I think this Greater Knead plain bagel is a much better idea for their pizza bagel recipe. They recommend using sauteed spinach which sounds tasty!

No-Egg Salad.

Their egg salad isn't technically egg salad. It's actually using garbanzo beans! So this sounds amazing. For your vegans out there, take their gluten-free everything bagel and follow this no-egg salad.

Caprese Egg Bake

Their egg bake sounds VERY good and I highly recommend this for brunch. Best of all it uses their tomato basil bagels which are amazing by the way.

Then if you're looking for some that's for just yourself and great for the morning, check out this Maple, Sausage and Egg Bagel sandwich made by Beyond Mommying blogger.

And being gluten-free usually means I have to be kind of creative with my meals. How about spinach artichoke dipped and chopped up Greater Knead Tomato Basil bagels to dip into? Doesn't that sound good? Check out this incredible dip by Heidi's Home Cooking.

So, I had the chance to try out a variety of their bagels and I think this has opened me up to a new style of bagel. I'm a west coaster and most of the bagels I've enjoyed in my most recent past have been big pillowy soft experiences. I've learned recently that this more New York style gluten-free bagels is on the chewier side, and that IS the way the east coasters enjoy bagels.

I tried plain and tomato basil. First, I highly HIGHLY recommend following their cooking instructions because I tried to do them my usual way and I'm not sure I did it right. The tomato basil was really tasty and I enjoyed that a lot. The texture took some getting used to but it's the type of thing I end up going back for more. Plus they are INCREDIBLY filling.

I love broadening my horizons about what I eat and so if these bagels sound like something you want to try, be sure to visit their website and check it out.

Also like them on FacebookTwitter  and Instagram.

The great thing is that I am giving away some of their bagels to one lucky reader! Enter via Rafflecopter below. Ends 5/24.
