Would You Pay $1,000 for a Sandwich?

Image
I couldn't help but share this with you guys. Would you, could you, pay for a $1,000 sandwich? I mean, there about 100 things that come to mind that I would rather spend that much money on. I guess if you are curious enough and have enough money to spend, this kind of thing could be mildly tempting. I guess? So, here's what it is. The restaurant Doma Land and Sea has created it. If you check out their menu, they offer up some tasty - albeit, slightly expensive but not outlandishly so - food options. I mean, that "Big Dog" hot dog they serve up actually looks amazing. I just wonder if they have a gluten-free option (hey, I can't help but be curious!) Anyways, back to the sandwich. It's called, "King DOMA" and created with some pretty elite ingredients. It's served with some carefully prepared ingredients along with a glass of Cristal champagne. Priced at $1,000. Here's what is included this sandwich: 28-Day Dry-Aged Prim

In fact, this pup has been in and out of shelters and foster care for way too long. This has dumbfounded Olive's rescuers who describe her as a lap dog that loves to be around people. Her only requirement is her be the only dog in your life and that you do not have any cats in your home. So dedicated are these rescuers is that they have created an Instagram page for the pup. Seriously just look at this face: Lazy Sunday Afternoon❤️🐶 #adoptolive #fosterdog #heartsofhopedogrescue A post shared by Olive's Journey (@olives_journey) on Jan 14, 2018 at 2:03pm PST How can you resist?? Olive was picked up from an animal shelter in Montcalm C

Meet the "Mighty Stash Pack" (My New Favorite Thing)

Image
I tend to go through lunch bags pretty fast. Mostly because I can't seem to find something as durable as I would like and since I tote my lunch bag with me on the bus, it doesn't tend to last long. Something about that long commute wears down even the most durable bag. Until I met the "mighty stash pack." I have used this for a variety of reasons and I'm so excited for you guys to consider this in your future. It's water proof. Oh how I love this. The worst thing when carrying your lunch is if you spill something on or around your lunch. Oh how it gets ruined. But not with this! This is waterproof. And STAIN proof. I've had many a lunch bags get nasty looking thanks to what I've spilled on it.  Another thing I like is how it zips up. It ends up zipping up like a cube-ish triangle. I love it. And it's so easy to carry around too. First with the durable strap and then the strong hook that you can connect to almost anything.

The couple actually had to be rescued by helicopter, by the way. Talk about an intense moment! Santa Barbara County Animal Services reunited the family and posted the Facebook video showing the couple and their cat Koshka reunited and it's adorable. The rescuers initially just found Koshka's muddy paw prints but after checking the property daily they found Koshka. Be sure you watch this video, it's absolutely adorable:

My Hair Care Goals for 2018

Image
Happy New Year everyone! Alright, so the new year is upon us and I'd like to make a few hair care goals for 2018. I love my hair, I love it's color (never have dyed it) and I love how long it is and how fast it grows (sometimes I like this characteristic, sometimes I'm annoyed by it). Overall though I know I can do a better job of taking care of my hair. So here's a few hair care goals for 2018. 1) Use the right shampoo. Anyone else tend to grab what's there in your cabinet or in the store? I tend to not pay too close attention to shampoo but I'd like to start choosing the right kind. Recently I tried out a shampoo by Maple Holistics and it's called, "Argan Oil Shampoo." This shampoo can do wonderful things for you hair including treat split ends, soften your hair and moisturizes your hair. What I love is that it doesn't weigh my hair down and I love rubbing into my scalp and then putting conditioner on the ends and just letting m

Save Money on Uber Trips (And Get Money for Your Car)

Image
Sponsored photo credit: marcoverch Sparschweinchen, Münzen und Geldscheine via photopin (license) I'm a huge fan of finding new ways to easily save money, especially on something I use regularly. So, if you are an Uber fan, you will want to sign up for ShopYourWay.com. I take Uber to and from the store pretty regularly. I don't own a car and the ride sharing thing has changed everything for me. It saves me money and actually thanks to me using Ibotta and then also now using ShopYourWay.com I end up earning $3 back from almost each trip I take. Read my Ibotta post to find out how it can save you money. I signed up for ShopYourWay and it connects with your Uber account and with each trip you earn $2 back. That may not sound like much, but I take Uber regularly so this adds up for me really fast. I've been using it since last December and as a result, I've been able to redeem my points for a coffee grinder and now three new Serta pillows are on their way to me

Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nuts - Pack These for Lunch!

Image
I'm into having snacks on hand that I can enjoy and not feel too guilty about having. So I got the chance to try out these Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nuts. I love nuts and seeds as snacks because they are more filling and if I can get a blast of flavor in that kind of snack along the way, I'll be even more happier. And WOW these were amazing. Check out the photos below - Ah these were just so good and they really hit the spot. When I had a sweet urge, having one of these chocolate covered macadamia's was incredibly satisfying. The cool thing is it's gluten-free, NON Gmo, and has great ingredients. I loved the Blueberry pomegranate Macadamia Crunch (pictured above). The crunch was berry flavored but not overwhelming. It didn't stick to my teeth (HUGE PLUS) and was filling as well. I loved the dark chocolate covered ones but honestly, of all the ones I tried the Hawaiian BBQ macadamia ones were my absolute favorite! You can purchase these macadamia'

My Top 5 Favorite Ways to Eat Crackers

Image
Snack time when you are gluten-free can be tough. So, when I'm working on my blog, particularly my unemployment blog , I want the right kind of snack to keep me going. So much temptation for things that aren't healthy and all that good. So I had the chance to try out these great gluten-free snacks and it made me think about all the ways I truly love to eat crackers, especially when it's a guilt free experience. For me that means healthy ingredients, not too much calories and nothing that my body will disagree with. And that I found in these crackers. 1) As a scoop for something I'm eating. That is usually beans and rice, actually. Or a burrito. I love scooping with a cracker and it goes especially well when I'm having beans and rice, which I tend to have a lot of in my diet. Potential other scoopable food - macarooni and cheese (although doesn't compliment crackers well). 2) With cheese. I'm a huge cheese fan. If there's a food, I'd love
